PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT WITH THERAPY NORTHWEST

The Therapy NorthWest Professional Community is an ongoing membership for psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors and other experienced mental health professionals who want to deepen their work with trauma, Internal Family Systems, parts work and somatic approaches.

Therapy NorthWest Professional Community

A monthly rhythm of learning, personal work and practice

A professional membership for therapists and psychologists who want to deepen their work with Internal Family Systems, trauma, somatic approaches and their own inner world.

The Therapy NorthWest Professional Community offers three carefully designed touchpoints each month:

Sunday Skills — deepen your clinical practice with a monthly teaching session

Thursday Therapy — witness a demonstration, space for reflection and shairng

Monday Meditation — deepen your connection with parts, Self, spirit and body

Together, they create an ongoing rhythm of professional development, personal reflection and embodied practice.

A place to keep learning, stay connected and continue developing as both a therapist and a person.

Three ways to deepen your practice each month

Sunday Skills

One live teaching session every month

Sunday Skills is our monthly professional teaching session.

Each session focuses on one area of IFS, trauma or complex therapeutic work and explores how to understand it more deeply in clinical practice.

Topics may include:

  • Working with exiles
  • Emotional neglect
  • Legacy burdens
  • Strong protective systems
  • Grief and loss
  • Unattached burdens
  • Inner critics
  • Dissociation
  • Shame
  • Therapist parts
  • Somatic responses
  • Attachment wounds
  • Working with highly defended systems
  • Therapist Burnout
  • Integrating other models and practices, eg EMDR, Breathwork

Sessions combine teaching, clinical examples, reflection and practical application.

Can’t attend live?

Sunday Skills sessions are recorded, so you can watch them whenever it suits you.

Recordings will be available within the member resource library.

One Sunday each month.
One focused area of learning.
A growing library of professional development.

Thursday Therapy

Personal work held within community.

Thursday Therapy is a monthly 90-minute live session centred around a therapy demonstration with a volunteer member of the community. The session offers an opportunity to observe the therapeutic process unfold in real time. Following the demonstration, there is space for reflection, shared learning and Q&A, allowing members to explore what they noticed, what felt significant and how the work might inform their own inner processes and clinical practice. The emphasis is on depth, curiosity and learning through direct observation, within a carefully held and respectful community setting.

Monday Meditation

A monthly practice to return to again and again

Once a month, a new guided practice will arrive directly in your inbox.

These practices may draw on:

  • Internal Family Systems & Parts
  • Self-energy
  • Somatic practice
  • Spiritual connection
  • Outer Relationships
  • Inner connection
  • Rest and restoration

Some practices may be short and grounding.

You can return to it whenever you need it — before clinical work, between sessions, at the end of a demanding day or simply as part of your own ongoing practice.

Over time, you will build your own personal library of Therapy NorthWest meditations and practices.

The monthly rhythm

Each month follows a simple rhythm:

Monday Meditation

A new IFS, spiritual or somatic guided practice delivered directly to you.

Sunday Skills

A live professional teaching session exploring a specific area of IFS or therapeutic work.

Thursday Therapy

A live experiential session supporting your own personal work and Self-to-part connection.

You can attend everything or simply engage with what you need that month.

The membership is designed to fit around your professional life rather than create another set of demands.

Who is the community for?

The Therapy NorthWest Professional Community is designed for therapists and psychologists who value depth, reflection and experiential learning.

It may be particularly helpful if you:

  • Work regularly with trauma or complex clinical presentations
  • Are interested in Internal Family Systems or parts-informed approaches
  • Want to deepen your clinical skills
  • Notice your own parts becoming activated within therapeutic work
  • Value personal development alongside professional development
  • Are interested in integrating psychological, somatic and spiritual perspectives
  • Sometimes experience clinical work as isolating
  • Want an ongoing professional community rather than another short course
  • Enjoy learning through both theory and experience

You do not need to be formally trained in IFS to join.

However, an interest in parts work and a willingness to approach your own internal experience with curiosity will help you get the most from the community.
